Mingquan Wang joined IMR in September of 2009 as a visiting student from Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Since 2001, he has participated in many transportation projects in China pertaining to sustainable transportation policy, land-use, high-speed transportation investment analysis, social logistics, urban transportation planning and traffic impact analysis. He currently focuses on carsharing and its potential environmental and energy impact in China. During his study, he is exploring new ways to help the Chinese government plan transportation infrastructure. He is formerly a leader of the student union, and has worked for several government departments.
Mingquan Wang has published one book and thirteen papers. He got his Bachelors degree in transportation engineering. In 2008, he received his Masters degree in regional economic and logistic policy. He is now a PhD candidate of Tongji University.
