Melissa
Chung is an undergraduate student researcher who joined the Innovative
Mobility Research group in February 2007. She is interested in
researching smart parking and carsharing, particularly in the Bay Area.
Additionally, as a native San Franciscan, she has lived in a community
where MUNI takes people just about anywhere, and she wishes to aid
other cities with the introduction or improvement of public
transportation. She is assisting on several projects including research for Assembly Bill 32, carsharing and bikesharing.
Melissa is currently in her fourth year at the University of California, Berkeley, in pursuit of a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Chinese Studies, with goals of achieving a C.P.A. certificate and an M.B.A in the future.
Melissa loves stand-up comedy and knitting for her friends and family as well as trying out new restaurants and cooking.
