Angela Zhang joined Innovative Mobility Research in September 2008. She is a visiting scholar from Lanzhou University, China. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Human Geography. Her research at IMR focuses primarily on carsharing in the North America and its implications for China. She has already performed a two-year survey on informal carsharing in Beijing, China, and has published some papers on this topic.

While a doctoral candidate, she received a variety of awards, including the First Rank Scholarship of Lanzhou University, the National Second Class Scholarship of China, and the Outstanding Graduate Student Scholarship. She is also financially supported by the Chinese government to conduct research at UC Berkeley.

Angela received a B.S. in resource and environmental management, and she will receive her Doctoral degree in December 2010. In her spare time, Angela enjoys bicycle riding, playing badminton, and practicing Chinese calligraphy.
