Ecodriving

Ecodriving, the concept of changing specific driving behaviors to reduce fuel consumption and emissions, is one method of managing an individual's automotive energy consumption. IMR’s ecodriving research programs take on many forms; from providing basic advice such as anticipating changes in traffic, smoothing acceleration and braking, and proper vehicle maintenance, to receiving real-time information on route planning and suggestions on how to drive in real-time traffic conditions. Ecodriving offers numerous benefits, including GHG emissions reductions, fuel cost savings, as well as greater safety and comfort.
